Quit drinking for 3 years and 4 months, then relapsed for almost 2 years. However, after a drunken-vomiting-blackout-bender at my jobs Christmas work party, I decided to jump back on the sober train. Not just for my health, but for my daughter (almost 2 years old), and my son (due to arrive in April). Let’s keep the alcohol out of our mouths!

Welcome back to a life of sobriety and recovery! I am in a very similar situation to what you described, but I’ve been back for about 2 weeks. This is a good community and I’ve found it to be a safe space to share and get support from fellow addicts.
Just wondering but why did you relapse? That’s such a long time to pick up drinking again. Was this gradual? I’ve heard a lot of stories about trying to be a normal drinker and it not working.
