It’s pretty cool when a band you like covers a song you like. It’s hit-or-miss though. I couldn’t wait for Foo Fighters “Baker Street”, but it sounded too much like the original.
And t.A.T.u’s “How Soon Is Now” is essentially a crime against humanity.
So, what song are you dying to hear, covered by which artist? I’ll start this party:
Al Stewart’s “Year Of The Cat”, done by Tori Amos. Ideas?
Prince covering “Creep”, originally by Radiohead. Holy moly. Prince has got to be one of my favorite performers of all time. Definitely one of my favorite guitar players. The level of skill and confidence. The guy could just make you cry with his guitar solos. Video quality gets better as it goes. Intro is kinda long, skip to 1:20…video quality is better shortly thereafter, starts kinda bad. And yeah, stick around for the guitar solos (plural).
I love sound of silence by disturbed, but I feel like you were asking for a non existent remake. I would love radioactive by queen including Freddie, but that ain’t gone happen. It would likely be odd, but surprisingly good
Well, since I went with a cover that Prince did do the first time, here’s one I would’ve loved to have heard him do – Peter Gabriel “Sledgehammer”. Prince would kill that one.
