I feel you on this. I’m going on 2 years of resetting and am currently on day 2. But as long as I’m here I’m going to keep trying and fighting for it. It takes on day to change the rest of your life. It’s worth fighting for

Yep you got me on that one. I’d be remorseful and all in until the guilt and paranoia subsided. Been trying to log in more and give some encouragement. Listen to AA podcasts and occasionally an online meeting. Look at my day count every day.
There is a 24/7 online AA meeting at AAhomegroup.org and you can just listen in, no need to talk or anything. It’s literally one meeting after another. A whole online community.

Your situation sounds really serious and needs serious professional help. Your brain is going to tell you it’s not worth it. That’s what drugs do. It’s like a parasite. You seem like a genuine and articulate person with gifts to share with the world, but not if you’re bombed out.
You’re right. It’s literally that easy to check in daily. So you have to figure out why you won’t do it. It’s been a few days since you’ve posted this and it’s been radio silence. My theory is that if you can’t muster the determination to just open an app on your phone then it’s going to be even harder to figure out anything else.
Sobriety is less about knowledge and more about willingness.
It won’t work, because you’ve decided it won’t, even though you’ve never tried.
If you think you can’t, you definitely won’t. You’ve already been defeated in your mind.
But, if you think you can, you just might. Victory is possible in your mind, and all that remains is to make it so.
Rehab just might be the thing, the toe-hold on sobriety you need to make it so.
There are long term rehab programs, 6 months or more, and rehabs that can follow up with sober living houses. Like others have said, this deal is mostly in our minds, both the addiction and the recovery.
