I concur with your answer too!
I the only one among us,
One in cat, two in mitten,
Two are odd, five are even
Seven in all, and one in seven.
Ah man that is clever and so good… Sorry but I just cheated as I couldn’t even make sense of the clue … So I bow out…
I’m confused. Did someone answer this one? Is that another one you just gave @JazzyS . Here is one for you! Who is a bit lost? Lam is!
Lol…it’s confusing sorry…the last post from Matt was a hint to the riddle…it hasn’t been solved yet
Consonantsil Is not the answer
Matt gave a clue (2nd riddle) to help answer the 1st. Im getting nowhere with it.
Vowrls, Consonants are in line with correct line of thinking…this one is a toughy
There are seven of them altogether
and the word “seven” contains one
Yep this one is a challenging one. Honestly I’m not sure I could get this one myself. You gotta make some connections by interpreting the poem and the connections are on a couple different layers.
I figured it was worth exploring this challenge
100% worth it – i wish i had waited to put all the clues together and think it through… excited to see how others put it all together…’
I’ve consolidated the riddle and hints below:

I had to give up and googled. It’s a tough one.
It’s maddening!
Maybe sleep on it and the inspiration will strike you in the morning? Give some space for the pieces to come together.
I’m going to the gym now. Maybe I can sweat the answer out…
I will give up! I dont want to keep everyone waiting for the next one. And I wasnt getting anywhere anyways. I thought I was a few times, but…
Oh a happy belated birthday @Matt don’t think we properly celebrated. What day was it?
I do think this riddle got the best of us all. Well done
I’ll leave it to you to officially post the answer and would you like to give another one a go?
It’s Roman numerals:
I
V
X
L
C
D
M
There are seven of them, and the poems were alluding both to how many there are, and also where they appear in the words in the poems.
Good effort team, that was a challenging one!
@JoeDogs I pass it to you
Thank you! I guess it has been five years since I joined Talking Sober. Pretty wild
I’m grateful for the community here; it’s humanizing and heart-mending to be doing both recovery and riddles at the same time. I’m being playful but I’m not kidding: I’m grateful for the chance to have fun here and challenge myself.
Oh man. A really good one Matt. Maybe another week I would have been there
!Happy Birthday!
Here goes. I think maybe another tough one.
“Not chest or box is now discussed. Money can be held in it, but just as we test its metal, within it there is rust.”
What is it.
