RIP Choco Taco

Especially for those of us celebrating sobriety milestones with ice cream, it’s solemn news. :pensive:

Via con dios, Choco Taco. You will be missed.

So is this thing like a drumstick, but in a taco shape?

I wouldn’t count it gone for good. If it’s popular, it will be resurrected, if not by the current owner, then by some interest who buys it. It could even be a seasonal offering. If McDonald’s could manage to turn a rubbery meat like patty smothered in marginal BBQ sauce into a highly anticipated regular “limited time” menu offering, Klondike will bring back the chocolate taco.

Yes! But imagine a drumstick where you get a little of all the parts of it in every bite.

It’s one of a kind.

I originally posted this in Just for Fun, but that seemed irreverent.

Nooooo! You just ruined my night. Life in recovery will never be the same. I sure hope Yoda-Stevie is right and another company picks it up.

This is a travesty! Good thing I’m staying away from processed foods as well as booze :sunglasses:

This exactly

Remember when hostess filed bankruptcy and discontinued the Twinkie?

They still own the rights to the name and recipie, and it’s still a hostess brand

But they farmed out the creation of them to a bakery in Canada

So Twinkie death lasted 4 years 2011 - 2015

All I’m hearing is no more choco taco for at least four years.

I never heard of Choco taco until I saw this post and then saw it on the news. It looked absolutely wonderful! Why in the world are they getting rid of it? Very sad I’m sure that many of you who are used to getting it are upset and rightfully so. I am upset I’d like to have tried some

I bought two choco tacos from the ice cream truck maybe a month ago, went out chasing it in my bare feet and pajamas. Brought back so many memories! It was fun to share with my husband who had never heard of them. I heard they had discontinued them today but I’m glad I have that last ditch effort lol. I betcha they’ll be back. If they were sold in the store I’d buy them.

In middle school I volunteered to help serve lunch, we had a nacho and a salad bar. My payment was free lunch but also a choco taco. Every day.

I have heard of choco tacos but never had one. They really don’t look all that appealing to me… :man_shrugging:t2:

Making my own now!

Makes me sad…loved those things

For the record…boxed store bought drumsticks are nothing compared to the ones you buy at a gas station…those are real drumsticks!
