Trying this again because it just doesn’t make me feel good. First time I completed 2 months, then a week now I’m on day 5. Here’s hoping I’ll be done for good.
Hope is what we are left with, when we’ve run out of things to try.
If you managed to string a couple of months of sobriety together, there’s no reason you can’t be done for good. You just have to decide that being sober forever is what you want. Not intimidated by it. Not grudgingly trying for it. Not pursuing it with mental reservation. No, you must EMBRACE it, and once you do…
You’ll be free indeed.
This !!
Well said. From that perspective, it makes it a positive journey not a burden. Thank you.
Welcome @Mdh35 ! You must focus all your will toward recovery and believe you deserve a better life.
Just passing along a lesson learned after too many attempts to count, until that one morning I decided I was well and truly done with drinking…forever. I won’t drink, because I don’t drink. I became a non-drinker.
