Running in Recovery in 2024-2026

Well that just depends on who you follow. I have some olympians and they blow my mind but not in a comparison way and then I follow some tiktok runners who do 13-14 minute miles and some everyday people.

If you do decide to get on there look us up. Misha, Gordon and me

Thanks @Runningfree i might just have to do that! I do love this thread and it motivates me to put in the work.

Did the treadmill this morning in prep for my 5k in less than 2 weeks. Solid effort.

Left knee is feeling better but im still going to schedule physical therapy

This was so solid!! I just went on feeling today. My breathing and legs felt really good! My 10k this weekend has a no music/headphone rule so did today without music. Honestly I feel like I run better without music but I’m not sure I could do a super long run without it.

Good morning sober runners. I had a good effort run last night…almost a 10k but had to stop to get home and make dinner.

I have so many intervals in my 10k plan (walker/runner) that i cant show my whole run in one shot. Sometime i might just let the laps go but i found the garmin prompts really help me keep going

I used to not be able to run without music/podcasts. Now, I never listen to anything during races and only listen about half the time during regular runs. I feel my thoughts flow more freely. I also like hearing the natural sounds and I just feel like I focus on the running more.

The first mile was so misleading :joy: It started on concrete and then it was a nice dirt trail before it turned into a rocky up hill climb. I ended up pacing behind a few people that had a great walk/ run system going. It was a ton of fun! I didn’t even miss the music

Way to go! That sounds like a tough race…no music…rocky road. Is this a pic of where you were running? This looks like sand which is a whole nother level hard to me

Decided to sleep in and mosey out for a walk run after coffee with the hubbs. This was mostly walking but the highlight was i ran nearly 5min without a timer prompt and it felt good!! Progress friends

The trail varied, that was thankfully only a very small piece

Solid shortie run today :woman_running:t2::heart: 2 walk breaks in the first mile and then I just focused on picking it up in the second mile. My ankles are still a little sore from the trail race but otherwise this felt really decent!

Some super fucking solid endurance work today. No thoughts- Just vibes
It is perfect running weather here- in the 60s, overcast and a crosswind. I wasn’t even trying for the negative splits. My only goal was no walk breaks :woman_running:t2::partying_face::heart:
