Running in Recovery in 2024-2026

Today was a toughy. I set out to do distance with no breaks. Then i was talking myself outta it before i even started. 15mph winds and hills. My pace was too fast so i needed walk breaks. But i showed up.

Difference today is i ate and ran later in the morning. Maybe my prime time is early morning after 1 coffee and empty stomach. Oh and NO FRICKEN WIND.

That’s me. Sometimes I add a piece of bread if I’m hungry.

Yeah, the dang wind has been brutal lately!

I second this. I never eat before running. I only have my coffee. When I use to do longer runs I would have some buttered toast

And F the winds!!

I went for a run today just to get my 100k in October badge. I knew I shouldn’t cause my left calf hurts and now it obviously hurts more + knee feels weak as well. It was a struggle, I did 4.5k and I never run less than 5, it was my rule. So, to the point  I went for a run just to get my 100k in October badge and this happened:

Fuck you Strava, at least Garmin is on my side

I hope it’s nothing major and I will be back in shape in a couple of days

My 6 miles today put me at 75 miles for the month  I’ve been building all year. Even though today was a struggle bus run I’m happy to be getting miles in

It’s just like FB but for fitness. I follow people all over the world and sometimes they post pictures. I enjoy getting to see those. Plus I have like 156 week activity streak  I can’t let that go!

I’m backkkkkk!!! I have been dealing with some digestive issues since this past saturday. I walked for my 5k sunday just to keep the streak. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to do my endurance event tomorrow but based on today’s test I think I should be good to go :woman_running:t2::partying_face::partying_face::partying_face:

Thanks!! I’m gonna give it my all and expect to be very sore  If all things go as planned it will be my longest run ever :exploding_head:

All things did not go as planned  but that’s running. It was a 2 mile lap. Mile 1 was like hiking up a mountain (over 1000ft elevation gain over the entire thing) I couldn’t really run it. Mile 2 was coming down and I was able to run with the falling forward method lol. I just made sure my legs were under me. The event was put on by the run group out there and everyone was so supportive. I couldn’t have asked for a better first endurance event experience. My feet and legs were trash so I called it quits after my 5th lap

I am very proud of you! 5 laps up one side and down the other, that’s no joke. And you had negative splits laps 6-9 - watta beast!

5K sunday :white_check_mark::white_check_mark: No idea how I pulled this off and it felt EASY! Probably cause no elevation and back on the concrete  My body is not nearly as sore as I expected it to be  (Pretty sure that first part is a glitch cause no way was I going at 3.37 pace :rofl::rofl:)

Okay I’m really gonna throw things outta whack here but I’m posting kms, the miles are confusing me hahah.
Where are my slow runners at :woman_raising_hand:t2:

I consider myself a slow runner but I have some “faster” days. I really just love the grind and try to forget about the pace.

Nice run!! Looks like a pretty area too
