You got it! Trust our AI Overlord!
Im ready for spring. Tried executing a garmin high speed interval session on the treadmill. Ha takes 15sec to get up to speed and then awkwardly trying to key in a slower pace bc they dont have quick buttons. Im sure it did not look graceful but i give myself an A+ for showing up this morning after a long break for sickness and lack of motivation
Great effort!!!
I moved my long run to tomorrow and I’m so happy I did. It’s going to be in the 50s!! We are having a weird winter
I like treadmill workouts. But, is it just me or is it way harder to run X mph on a treadmill than it is to run X mph outside? I usually subtract about .75 mph from what it tells me then it feels like the same exertion level. Maybe I’m just not a good treadmill runner!
I was wondering how your long one went. 7.5 right? Good luck.
I have a long one tomorrow too, gonna try to go as early as possible because it’s going to get colder as the day goes by. It’s good for me… makes me not want to drink tonight so I don’t mess up my run! Because, I still battle those thoughts ![]()
Thanks @Runningfree let us know how the long run goes!
I agree on the mismatch effort on tread vs outdoors. Im still trying to figure out why my garmin says my speeds slower if i use treadmill mode vs just run mode
Meh, well I guess I did it so that’s an accomplishment. I found out why I’ve been so low energy the past few days. Started ![]()

You can not convince me women aren’t stronger than men ![]()
I did this while bleeding out. I like how the Runna AI took my feedback for its comments lol
You did it and you made yourself stronger! It’s definitely a grind some days. I often feel happier about that than when I have a good run.
As for me, I’m gonna grind through one at some point today. Waiting for the wind to die down a bit. It’s cold, windy, and icy out. I’ll do two of those, but not all three!
Good job!
It was so windy for that last half of the run. I hate wind with a passion.
I feel accomplished lol but dang it was definitely a grind
You are a beast @Runningfree
My long run didn’t go the greatest yesterday but it’s over. I only got about 8.3 of my 10 mile goal. I stopped around mile 5.5 to take a picture. It was so cold my phone didn’t work right!
After my numb fingers finally got my phone back in its pouch I just wasn’t in the mood to keep running so I walked it in. I’ve also been battling some nagging injuries so it wasn’t the worst thing to walk.I had a great frozen pizza and a wonderful nap when I got home. Later a trip to the bookstore and all is well!
5K sunday is still going strong ![]()
Only 2 walk breaks. The first one was due to a run in with dogs. I always just slow down and head away while keeping my eye on them and normally I’m left alone. The second was out of frustration with the stupid headwind.
Haha, dogs and wind… the great enemies of a happy run!
After my knee/calf injury at the end of October i had about a month break from running. Now I’m trying to run 3 times per week but i dont feel so strong anymore. My stats are still relatively good but i dont feel so light like before, I struggle a bit while running. I neglected strength training last couple of months and its probably a big factor as well. I have to add kettlebells to my workout routine again.
Anyways, still running
I like when the AI overlord has good things to say
Seems like skipping my easy run yesterday was a good idea. It was a decent temperature so I went short sleeved but I was left wishing for gloves. It was a creepy misty morning.
I’m working on lowering my HR lately, any tips? I’m trying to run slow-ish (not that I’m a rocket normally but you know what I mean
) and trying to not have my HR 180 at the end of the run. Now that I’m taking it easy it’s 165 usually. Which is still quite a lot if I look at the others. Is there any other way (other than slowing down) to work in lower heart rate?
I havent figured out the lower heart rate yet. Ill run at conversational pace and still be 160. Maybe @Runningfree or @Gorden have tips besides slowing pace even more or breath work
My HR is always in the 150-160. Unless I’m doing a walk/run situation. Running hard will push me into the 170s and sometimes the 180s. I honestly don’t know how people run with a low HR. I’ve heard zone 2 work but one day I was walking outside in the heat and my Hr was in zone 2 ![]()
I put in my most recent 5k time and strava did some AI stuff and gave me these zones based on that This is from yesterday’s run
