Sad songs to avoid while getting sober

Daughtry’s All These Lives. Omg.

Why would you want to focus your energy on something to avoid? This thread is silly.

And there in lies the problem.
@Dust, mate, look at the category that this thread is under!
Just saying!

Let - steal my sunshine. Sad AF

The Verve- the drugs don’t work

Playing when my ex’s mum was dying

I had that whole album on in the car when my mum was in the Sue Ryder hospice. Every day for a week I was traveling to the hospice to see her.
There’s some great songs on it that always brings back memories of that week.

This is a sad song!

My dad died recently and he loved Sounds of Silence by Simon and Garfunkel. He even liked the Disturbed version and I love that he did. So I always cry at it now. I had them play Bridge Over Troubled Water at his funeral in the church on the keyboard (as it’s another of his faves) and I sobbed like a baby. It was so beautiful. That’s another sad one for me. Dammit now I’m crying :joy:
EDIT to add, I don’t avoid it though. I let the emotions fly. Can’t say I avoid any music unless I hate it lol

Avoiding our addictions is silly ???

I feel the majority of pop songs these days are all about going out, drinking, drugs, sex and money. I wonder why people lick celebrities arses?
