One week without weed and 26 days without alcohol. I still have weed withdrawals, my sleep quality is bad and I’m really depressed and anxious. But I got this. Every day without substances is a win-win.
Almost 45 months, wow!
Thanks Dirk. It’s pretty exciting.
Congratulations. You are doing so well!
@BirdyP Hell of a number chica! Keep up the amazing work Mrs Badass
@Conor80 Great amount of days you got stacked there – keep leading the way!
@MrMoustache Well done on your 1 week of no weed Keep at it friend-- sleep and cravings will get better!
@Laraellelarissa Loving that number and that saying!
You guys are wicked awesome!
Thank you, my friend!
Thank you so much, Jazzy! You rock!
Just hit my first sober day in months, maybe even years.
It’s not much, but a step in the right direction I guess and I’m glad I’ve started to make a change in my life. All the best wishes for the community!
Welcome MoeLester and congrats on your path to sobriety! This is a wonderful community, lots of support and reading. Do you have any plan to stay sober? You got this!
@Ricardo1977 congratulations on your 5 months
@MrMoustache double digits is a lot…the beginning is the hardest and you are doing great
@Moe_L welcome to the community and good work on day 1. It does start with that one day and you just take it slow and stack up the days. This is a wonderful place for support and advice…read around and join in. ODAAT
So very glad you’re here, Moe! You know, we all started on day one. Stay focused, consider a meeting and do whatever it takes today to not take a drink!
@MrMoustache thank you for the warm welcome! I’m glad to be part of such a lovely community.
Regarding your question, yes I will give all what’s left in me to continue my life without alcohol. I’m drinking half my life now, which is harsh bc I’m not even 30, and I can’t continue like this anymore. This is the last chance I give myself before I have to take more drastic solutions, so I’m trying to make the best of it.
@JazzyS thanks to you too for the warm welcome! I was lurking around the threads in here all day at work and am amazed by all the support in here. I wish nothing but the best for all of you!
@Smitty97 thank you so much, I’m giving my very best! I have to admit that it was a little hard to grab a non-alcoholic beer after work, but it is indeed a start in the right direction. I’m very happy to be here, y’all are wonderful people and deserve nothing but the best!
(sorry for any grammatical errors btw, English is my second language)
Congratulations. It feels great right?
It is a lot. Thanks for sticking around and sharing your journey!!! Keep the positive flowing!
Congratulations on taking first step. Do you have a plan? So many resources available to keep you sober one day at a time. If you want to change it can happen for you!
Thank you so much!
Well, I don’t have a “plan” yet, but I have already looked up my local resources (AA in my area and such programs). It’s a little hard to find much, since I live in a very remote area, but I will try to get in contact with them and attend some meetings to see if they fit me. For now, I’ve informed my close friends and sister about my goal and found nothing but support. Also I talked to my boss and he assured me that I will get some time off work without repercussions in case the withdrawal symptoms get too much. For now, I’m just happy that I am able to go to bed sober for the first time in a long time.
Thank you, my friend, I really appreciate your words.
