My new goal is to join the four-digit club in some months’ time! Very happy to start off the new year the sober way. Yay!

As always, thanks to everyone here. We don’t know each other in person, but every one of you has been instrumental in getting me here. Love and courage to all.

I’m listening to the Red Hot Chili Peppers right now. Scar Tissue. And watching that dancing Abominable Snowman and it goes great with the music. Perfect timing. Great gifs. Grateful for you :pray:t2::heart::hugs:

Quit date was 1/3/2024. The year dragged on, but also flew by. Not one sip. I’ve never been off alcohol for longer than a day or two for many, many years. 38 years of hard drinking. It’s a miracle I’m still alive and kicking. I lost around 40 pounds. All of it was from drinking. I’ve been told I look like a different person.

Life is great and this is possible. I’m looking forward to the rest of 2025.

To anyone starting their sobriety journey; Hang in there. Build that toolbox. You will always own those tools. Those tools can be used for other aspects in your life. Don’t allow them to rust.

Bring on 2025! I’m ready for it.

:muscle: Awesome!

Thank you. January 2024…quit drinking, started a new job the day after I was released from hospital. Total cost of hospital services $139,307.30 for 5 days in the hospital. :scream_cat:

During my sobriety I paid off my car two years early and all my credit cards have no balances (as we know, quitting drinking is like picking up a part-time job with the money saved).

And that’s just a little taste of sober benefits.
