Of course 1 day at a time.. good program, great sponsor and most of all knowing I had to reach out for help as my way sucked and could never see how great being sober could be. First Year was staying sober each day and dealing with all the mental stuff and realizing I had problems that could not get fixed with a bottle of tequila every day. Beginning of the 2nd year it became being a better person and the person I wanted to be. Still working on that goal.. Ego has to be calmed as the not drinking is so much easier but life can still be a heavy challenge for me.
