Second Baptism on Easter

Hi guys! I’m 2 months, 27 days clean off of kratom today. I used the sublocade shot/suboxone to get off of it after being on it 10 years. I know there are many advocates for it, but it became a big problem and addiction for me.

Today is Easter. I’m 36, never been married, no children, and still live with my Dad. Today I’m taking the step and choosing to get re-baptized after finding God in 2021.

I hope and pray that this is a new chapter for me, and I can move on with my life leaving drugs/old habits and people behind for good, and step into one with Christ and the plans He has for me.

I’m still having intrusive/negative thoughts. Mostly about people’s opinions. How I’m still a “crackhead”, terrible person, will never get married, never look right, etc. I’m hoping to leave allllll of that behind today.

Happy Easter everybody!! I hope everyone has a great day!!

I am THRILLED for u!!! Congratulations on ur re-baptism!! And great job on ur clean time also

As long as u continue to stay clean and sober, the opportunities are endless at what u can receive or accomplish. Life has funny way of sorting itself out when we are in recovery. Sometimes quickly and sometimes slowly. But it does happen  Things work out as they are meant to be. Especially with God guiding us (I believe in God too). Let us know how ur baptism went today

Please don’t base your self-worth on marriage. We women have more value than just being objects for men. Marriage or lack of it doesn’t define you. There are plenty of super-miserable married people and plenty of happy single ones.
