So feel the fire beneath your feet
As you barely even perspire from the heat
Exhale deep and breathe a sigh of relief
And as you say goodbye to the grief
It’s like watching the walls melt in your prison cell
But you’ve extinguished this living hell!
EMINEM
It’s a beautiful kind of pain
Setting fire to yesterday
Find the light, find the light, find the light
EMINEM

My favorite from AA is “the elevator is broken, you’ll hafta use the steps”
The best one I’ve ever heard by far came from our very own sober jedi master, @Yoda-Stevie: “when drinking gets in the way of life you have a drinking problem, when life gets in the way of drinking you’re an alcoholic”
(That one has picked up steam and is going around the rooms in Annapolis, fayetteville, and now Fredericksburg btw, I throw it out there whenever I get the chance lol)
Oh yes! That’s a good one!
In terms of going to bars / hanging with folks who are drinking:
“If you go to the barber shop often enough, you’ll eventually get a haircut.”
First draft of first pattern
Debating “I am enough” or “You are enough” or just “enough”
Feedback is welcome!
“I am just. You are enough”
Actually sticking with my original suggestion- I am enough. Final answer.
I might just stitch out the “Enough” on a big piece of cloth and give myself time to decide, it’s a hard one!
“You can handle it”
