The one year coin my sponsor gave me recently when I picked up a year at the sober living house Across the street that I am still affiliated with. It was a big deal because I’ve known my sponsor for 10 years. And he’s been sober for 10 years because of working the AA program and practicing the principles in all his affairs. He took me through the 12 steps. He Had me get a home group. He has me call him at least twice a week. Or anytime if there’s an issue good or bad. To regularly call other alcoholics and addicts. Now he wants me to speak at detox places and also raise my hand when they ask is anyone willing to sponsor at the end of meetings. He holds me accountable and he doesn’t mess around. But we also do regular things like go out to eat and go to movies. This chip is very important to me and I’m grateful for all of the help that I’ve had in this community and in real life.

I have found my two on line but I know you can design your own too. It is fun looking at all the wonderful ones that people here already have. Gives me ideas for my future coins

That’s exactly what I was thinking when I was looking through this thread I know we’re supposed to stay in today but I’m already thinking about what I can get for year two lol. It’s good to know that I can get something cool online or design or specific sayings

I do try to stay in the moment but around 2 months prior to my soberverary I start to look up designs LOL … I know it takes time to get the coin and it also gives me another reason to make it to that day

My sponsor gave me a special 1 year coin instead of the regular one my AA group gives out. I feel privileged my sponsor can see how my life has changed.
