Thanks @AyBee
Not your typical artwork but I consider it to be a form of it. Basically out of boredom, and being laid off for some time, I got into it since being sober, and I’m getting pretty good. It keeps my hands busy for a while and I can show off my creations each day.
@Just_Laura no doubt is an art work. Seems very professional. Have you ever think of becoming a professional makeup?
Nah, I’m just messing around. Tho maybe I should dig out my camera and record some as tutorials now that I’m stuck inside for a while, lol. But I don’t have a computer to edit. Idk. It’s just fun to play with.
Wait…that’s a Lionfish. Self portrait!
Amazing artwork my friend
Thank you, it’s not anatomically correct or even correct but it was my first attempt. Maybe I’ll try again for my next year
I think it’s great, my first thought was that it would be a great tattoo design.
@Lionfish I forgot to give you thanks for the wonderful fish you have drawn. I love people putting their work here. For me art communicates something very personal and I appreciate your generosity
@Bomdhil I agree! Unfortunately addiction and talent often go hand in hand. Whether it’s because we are more sensitive leading to being more susceptible, or that we understand and see the weight of the world more clearly than others leading to expressing it while also being crushed by it, or sometimes we think chemicals make our art better… whether that’s true or not is certainly debatable!
I used to think I created better under certain influences, but lately (6 mo sober) I feel differently. I paint, draw, photograph and write. Here is a recent watercolor… maybe I’ll post more in the future! (*edit: added a second one… my favorite bird, an attempt at a cardinal lol!)
Thanks for creating a topic for us all to share! All the pictures I’ve seen are great
@Katmosphere I want to tell you that your last pictures brought me a sense of hope and calm. Thank you so much
