I follow this account on Tumblr they have some good posts. She calls herself the perfume girlā¦
If you can ever find some you should try get your hands on some Cali. I think they stopped making it in the late 1990ās early 2000ās but you can still occasionally find some at charity shops etc, it was about Ā£150 back then but it is a citrus based fragrance naturally made like Creed not using oils or scents only natural extraction processes hence the cost. Smells amazingly fresh!
Got some at a charity shop was advertised for Ā£1. There was about 80ml left of a 100ml bottle I nearly fell over! They obviously didnāt know the value of it. So I paid the Ā£1 and donated another Ā£20 because I know I was lucky so why not pass on the love!
Do good unto the world and good will come back to you!
Great quiz @Chiron.
I leave it to my Old Spice deodorant and some after shave. I feel like fine perfume and cologne isnāt as en vogue as it was when I was younger.
Iāll straight up say that hints of a fine perfume still get my motor running. Long as itās just a hint.
All body sprays are awful though. The fruity ones (why smell like food?) and the Axe/Lynx of the world (like choking on gas/petrol fumes!).
Iāve been using the same perfume for years. A friend of my momās never misses my birthday nor the opportunity to buy me a present: one of the latest, in vogue perfumes (sheās a fashion addict :-)). Obviously, I always thank her and say: āWhen will you give up? I donāt feel like changing my perfume. I even tried a couple of them&I liked the scent butā¦ itās just not me.ā
So I pass the gift to one of my friends and the ritual repeats year after year.
Actually, one of my fears is that theyāll stop producing it.
@Cherry_Kisses Great point about not rubbing your wrists! Good Girl by Caroline Herrea is on my short list of bottles I want to pick up next. Iāve forced myself to hold back so that I can make use of some of what I already have.
@Its_me_Stella Ooooh, thanks for the link!
@Eke I think youāre right about fine perfume and cologne not being as en vogue. Maybe people are less concerned about what they smell like since more interactions are online.
@LuluOnTheBridge What scent is it?
@anon53116147 Donāt be sorry for any long responses. Definitely would like to get your take on your new bottle. Have you smelled Jazz Club by Replica? I love this one. If you like tobacco/vanilla/lightly sweet, you might really like this one. If you layer it with the Glow filter from Replica, it adds in a bit more citrus that comes off really great. Itās more of a light āoilā than a fragrance. I can wear this stuff by itself.
Also Prada Black might be up your alley if you havenāt come across that one yet.

Iāve literally loved this one to death.

I donāt wear a lot of scents geared toward men, but both of these are great, especially Jazz Club. I donāt always repurchase bottles when I finish them, but Jazz Club is a must for me.
Cliniqueās Aromatics Elixir. The only āchangeā is that, during the summer, I switch to the lighter Aromatics Elixir In White.
Skin Reserve by Sephora
I have never smelled jazz club. We donāt have any nice parfume stores or distributor close by so I get all my stuff off jomashop and just and pray I like itš¤£. I will definitely look into it. I definitely love this de marley omg, it starts with like a nice apple, citrus kind of smell and then now itās been about two hours itās broken down into a very nice warm vanilla type of woody smell. Definitely pleased and happy. I have a Prada I forget the name itās a silver bottle definitely very nice. I also would like to try some roja. Some ysl, Dior. But yeah I love all smells, even musky manly smells. I think the only smell Iāve ever really hated was joop lol
Heck yeah man that is awesome Iāll look it up and see what it is so I can keep and eye out for it.
I have Touch of Pink. I fell in love with the song on the advert I saw as a teenager and have just kept buying it. Although rarely now as I donāt wear perfume very often.
Must say that I am not hugely into cosmetics/ appearance etc most of the time. Not sure if it is lingering mental health stuff, fatigue or just laziness but I am not even a shower every day person at the moment. Also I wfh and the main reason I leave the house is to walk the dog, ha.
I did buy some of this recently though, thought it might help with smoking cravings. It didnāt do that, but it does give me a nice little boost when I spray it. So thatās nice
Just want to bring this book and movie to all your attentions. As youāre all interested in smells. I am, even though I havenāt bought a bottle of aftershave, eau de toilette or perfume in years. Nowadays deo does for me.
Loved the book and the movie. You might too.
Hmmm those definitely seem interesting for sure. I will check them out very cool
@anon53116147 Now I feel like I have to see if anywhere near my sells that de Marley so I can smell it. I love vanilla/woodsy dry downs! I definitely think you would like Jazz Club if you like scents with strong sweet tobacco. There was this online shop that you could buy samples of perfumes and colognes from. Iāll see if I can find the name of it. Itās been a while.
@Mno Those look really interesting! Iām going to have to check them out. Thank you for the recommendations.
āthis is what the flavor isā That was great. I love their descriptions. āyou can tell this smells goodā awesome selling points.
I have a little baby bottle (deluxe sample) of 1 Million fror men. Not sure why, but I like it more than the ladyās version.
Oh my gosh theyāre a hoot so much energy
āsmells like Nutellaā
āyour turn to pickā¦ not that oneā
Reminds me of trying to do a zoom call with my family; Iām trying to have a bit of a normal conversation, and the kids are talking about random stuff and sticking their faces or toys in the camera.
Yes lol absolutely full of energy. @Chiron it was really fun, and @Misokatsu absolutely any sort of calls or face times or zoom calls is super hard but I actually had a blast doing this I would like to try and get better at editing and make some actual fun kid videos with them something they actually would enjoy. Last night when I asked if they would like to make a vlog about my colognes they were so excited, they were still super excited today but wanted to do it there way which is totally understandable.
