I’ve read alot of literature about alcohol…alcoholism…alcohol abuse etc. I’ve read about alcoholism being the result of an allergic reaction to alcohol. Ive been sober 39 days but after reading the allergy connection I remember sneezing violently almost immediately after having the first few sips of alcohol and then it goes away after I’ve followed those few sips with about 20 more. Has anyone else experienced this?
Yes, that is not really what they mean by allergy trigger. She explained it well.
But I also would have sneezing fits, after 3 or 4 beers when the buzz would start to creep in.
But I kind of get random sneezing fits in general. So with my being drunk all the time, its hard to say if it was related or not.
But I did google search “sneezing when drunk” on several occasions to see if it was common.
Yea I’m a binge drinker type alcoholic. I was just curious about the sneezing aspect I experience after my first sips. Thank you
I’m allergic too. Everytime I drink I break out in handcuffs.
I’ve never experienced any type of sneezing but I am definitely allergic to alcohol. I haven’t been able to figure out exactly what types of alcohol because it didn’t happen everytime I drank. I would get what they call the “asian flush”. My cheeks would start getting red, then my entire face would be blotchy. The more I drank, the more it spread and I just kept getting hotter and hotter. One time my entire body was covered in huge blotchy red patches and I was so bloody hot, yet I kept drinking. I found vodka always causes that to happen, sometimes wine or gin, and Stella +Richards (no others). Even despite all of that I drank the crap anyways.
The sneezing happened with me when I was detoxing from opiates. Never did figure out why.
