Snow days! ❄️

I live on Vancouver Island and today we had a snow day. Stop the buses and close the world down! what do you guys do on your snow days?

We’ve had schools closed 2 days this week already. I still drive 90 miles to work and 90 back home on those days. On the bright side I get to move snow in all of my free time. I love winter :face_exhaling:

We don’t have many snow days but when we do I hope the trains will still run so I can get to work and, more importantly, back home again. Biking 75 km in the snow is a bit much.

I don’t mind the snow as much. The last two days it’s just been ice though. Drivings been awful.
Working outside in it the last 20 plus years, I’m kinda over it :person_shrugging:

I am a bit south of you and all we we had freezing rain, but schools are closed, that made the kiddos happy.

We don’t get much snow on Vancouver Island so when we do the roads are super icy and I live on the top of a hill so needless to say I could not make it up the hill with my little front wheel drive. And so now I’m home :woman_shrugging:t2::relieved:

My girls have a had a couple school days which I’m excited for them when they do. But even for me when we get snow, no snow day for me lol. I hop on my e. Bike and off to work, I bike a about 4 miles and so far haven’t had to bad of any days. I think it’s fun biking in the snow though, I’ve grew riding dirt bikes and fourwheelers so it’s not very hard for me to be out in the snow lol.

90 miles man. That’s crazy back when I worked for a tree cutting company I worked in Plattsburgh, where I’m living now and that was like maybe 70 miles. It wasn’t to bad we worked 4 twelves and then had 3 days off. But damn 90 miles is crazy. You’re a big inspiration man for sure

We got record snows last week and I haven’t seen that much accumulation in a long time. It was a lot of fun until the temps dipped down and we started having dangerous windchills. I misplaced a lot of my winter gear in the move and still haven’t found it! But we did enjoy the snow when it was first falling and for the first several days. We took hikes in the area behind our house, had snowball fights and generally played, plus my dog loves to romp in it when it’s not so frigid.

No snow here! Which is why we moved south after 50 years of snow. Chilly tho! I do miss sledding and snowshoeing…not plowing and shoveling. Enjoy the snow!

Sometimes get ice here and everyone stays home until it melts. Too many twisty steep roads thru the hills and mountains to drive when icy…no plows or sanding.

Not much snow here. All melted. But its under 10 degrees. Home sick with babies. My nieces and nephews have a snow day (with wind chill its in the negatives) so they were pretty excited about having a day off from school!

Typical how this pic on my social media says to depict Norway today, while in fact it is a tourist attraction in Japan I’d like to visit some day. Photo taken years ago too. Quite some snow for sure.
