I have to start from day one. . I was almost 6 months sober I drank so much within a week I was so sick and so full of regret but I got this one day at a time. . Just for today. . Here’s to another 24❤️
Welcome back @Luula. If you look in yourself honestly you probably know why you relapsed. You drifted away from your sober connections, and you got starved for connection, and you reached out to a familiar (but fake and unhealthy) connection: alcohol.
Welcome back to the process ![]()
Think about some changes you could make:
Yes I think I did just that. . I left treatment and stopped attending a.a meetings. . Stopped the steps I gotta tap into my inner self and do some more healing have alot of childhood trauma. . That was a huge mistake falling off but I’ll get it back
Welcome back. It looks like you know what works and doesn’t. Let’s get back into the stuff that works for success in sobriety. I don’t have all the solutions but I know what works for me and staying mindful daily with meetings and connection here is top priority in my daily life.
6 months is a massive achievement @Luula. I know you feel bad about yourself now… I am just trying to quit nicotine and failed 2 days in a row! As with alcohol I made it to 90 sober days today and mostly because I realised I have no choice.
It really is hard to fight addiction… just try again darling.
The healing doesn’t come before doing the steps. It can’t. The healing comes after (and during) doing the steps (with an experienced sponsor guiding you); it comes after the deep digging of the step work; it comes as a result of doing the step work.
Yes that’s true I only got to step 5 but I still have all my work and read chapter of the big book also try find a sponsor again
Thank you for the kind words meand alot
Six month is alot but if I did it before I can come back stronger and you can too ![]()
Absolutely! But honestly think about it Lila… almost 6 months! And still you can’t take it for granted! Bloody madness!
Stay strong girl! xxx
You made it 6 months though that’s amazing! Try to figure out what led you to relapse and deal with it. If you aren’t going to meetings or doing 12 steps give it a chance. Good for you to be willing to try recovery again. Hopefully just a speed bump
