Omg! So, I was in the shower thinking (lol) and wondering how much money I spent in a year on alcohol!! I took my daughter’s shower crayons lol and calculated it. Yall!! Thousands and thousands of dollars!!! Like what the heck. You don’t realize at the time how much money you spend. But DANG!! if that’s not a reason in itself to stop drinking!!

Instead of booze, I buy guitars now. It’s a fair trade.

I paid off my car and all credit card debts. Drinking is a huge drain. Just imagine what a DWI or two would cost.
Not drinking is like having part-time job with excellent benefits.

Thats the BEST thing ive ever heard and so true! I wondered how all my coworkers at my full time job were buying stuff like Peletons when I had to get a part time side job just to make rent! Then I didnt drink/drank a lot less for a month for medical reasons and that was the first month my checking account didnt get overdrawn in YEARS.

I’m also a person who spend lot of money in drinking. I can say if i start drinking i will spend
20 - 50 USD per day.
Next day when i look at my bank statement i can see 95% of transactions related to “BAR/LIQUORSHO/WINE SHOP” etc… Otherside if i’m going to spend 50usd for a any good stuff like clothes, shoes or somethig else that really hurts me but when i spend it for drinking i never feel that way.
This all happen because of the addicted mind to alcohol.

Totally relate. I was spending over $350 a week on booze. Absolutely ridiculous.

I’m also 29.5 and i drunk for 16 years in my life. I have good skills in computer software making. Had good job, got lot of money as reward for my skills.
Every penny i destroyed by alcohol !!!
