Sober All Sports

Yay! Tied 3-3 for Western Conference Finals! Last game Saturday.

“ Game 6 was Wemby’s 8th game with 25+ PTS and multiple blocks this postseason, the most in a single postseason in Spurs history (surpasses Tim Duncan in 2005 & 2006) :fire:
It’s also the most such games by any player in a single postseason since Shaq had 10 in 2002.”

I’ll tell ya Rams!

@49er might tell ya something different :winking_face_with_tongue:

Cool sports thread 49er friend. Helped get me through some sober football seasons.
But with your kids and soccer tournaments etc. don’t know how you’ll find time. But we are here.

I can’t tell you who to root for but I can tell you something I find fascinating about this match up. The 49s got into town 10 days ago and have been acclimated to the time change/jet lag. The Rams are hopping off a plane, playing and then getting right back on a plane. I like two different approaches with all those lovely swirling variables for the outcome. :american_football:

There has been alot of talk about that. Seems strange to only arrive just over 24hrs prior to game time.
49ers have definitely become the favoured team here by getting out and about with promotions.

I think the Rams are trying to beat jet lag by pretending it won’t get them and I think they will probably be a bit surprised. I’ve been on a 17 hour flight to your lovely home, and it shakes the body a bit. We’ll see though.

Who won ? I missed the second half.
Bold strategy Cotton :squinting_face_with_tongue: @TrustyBird
The Rams. I didn’t know that. Sounds kinda dumb. Bet they lost

Nice seeing you Sonia. I was just about to post here too, as a new NBA season approaches. I’ll be supporting the Spurs, which I have done since they took the title from the Bulls :upside_down_face: Love Wemby

Wow, I love this article. And good for him for being a man of principle! :clap:t3:

I was actually talking to my dad about this because we are seeing so many gambling tv commercials now. Everything is so easy to access with these damn phones. And they are predatory indeed.

So amazing of him to choose principle over a paycheck.

I forgot we had a sports thread here from when I was in the community before! Thrilling start to October for baseball, as a head coach myself I love this time of year although the college World Series is my favorite baseball to watch all year. Another banner year in little league baseball also, Nevada made the championship game for the third time in five years I believe. Can’t seem to get over the hump, I know the feeling after losing three consecutive state titles :joy:

Football has been interesting so far this year! My friendly pick sheet in the pool at work has been all over the place, can’t seem to nail down the teams that should win, shit the bed, then the next week they’re bouncing back :squinting_face_with_tongue:
