Sober All Sports

I’m watching Arsenal Vs Man city now before the WSL MATCH between Liverpool and Aston villa (Villa are my second team). Man city v Arsenal is spicy  gonna be a fight soon …

In the old days it was always Man Utd vs Arsenal that resulted in the fights, I used to love those days  Good luck Aston Villa, first football match I ever watched was Spurs v Aston Villa and I have also had a soft spot since.

Well I am from the West Midlands… My :cactus: when I was a kid were named after the villa team. Chelsea were bloody lucky today. Hate to say it but Chelsea ladies won’t win the WSL this season I don’t think.

Oh really? What is different this season? I love the :cactus: BTW!

I think the main difference is that everyone else has caught up with us now, and WE still have no new ideas. I hate a team that depends on playing out from the back. Is it me, it is it so boring and controllable?

US winning the WSL five years in a row was stretching it but the signs are on the wall… As much as I hate The Glazers team…I think it might be them holding that trophy this season. :smiling_imp:

Oh yes, I get that, and the playing out from the back  Even my daughter’s football team are doing it now and they are 11 so it frequently goes wrong

At least Spurs won’t trouble you, although they did win earlier which was nice!

Poor Spurs. I meant to tell you they looked better this season at Stamford. Not bad at all. Martha Thomas a great addition and you will get Betty England back at some point. I think they will do better this season.

Yes! To score a touchdown (TD) (6 points), you have to either cary the ball into the end zone, or pass it to a player already in the endzone. After a TD, you can kick the ball through the goal posts for an extra point.

Now, if its your 4th down and you are close enough, you can kick the ball through the goal posts for a field goal for 3 points.

I think scoring is the most complicated part of it because there’s ways to score 1, 2, 3 or 6 points.

Because of that though, it creates strategy throughout the game and can often create high risk/reward situations, which is entertaining.

Good luck figuring out all the rules, player positions, what’s a catch and not a catch, and why some holding penalties are 10 yards while others are 5 yards and then then strategy, play calls and clock management…

Very similar to rugby! Thanks that’s clear. I’ll watch it again one day!

That’s another thing that’s similar to rugby. Love to watch it, but the rules, what’s allowed and what is not, and what’s a penalty and what is not

After tonight’s loss feeling like these Bills peaked a couple seasons ago. Go raptors, another impressive comeback fueled by defense.

Nice game. We needed that much more than you guys. Well, I thought we did :joy:

Like @I.cant.We.can said. I think we peaked 3 years ago :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I think if they can sneak in the playoffs. With Josh Allen, they can still make some noise

Well thankfully neither my happiness or recovery hinges on being a Bills fan. Why must I be loyal to some of these franchises Lmao. They will need a lot of help to squeak into the playoffs.

Are you kidding me a 59 yard field goal to send it to OT where they win the coin toss. Still winless in OT under Allen. New offensive coordinator same result. Left philly with to much time at the end of the fourth quarter. Did watching these guys like Brady, Mahommes etc. not teach you anything
