I’m going camping this weekend as well! The campgrounds we are going to has a big slip and slide, a lake with canoes, and horseback riding.

You guys! I did it! Three more well earned days of sobriety. Now at 43 days sober. The folks we camped with offered me alcohol twice…kind of annoying but they don’t know that I’m in recovery. So I just stuck to my magic words, “No thanks, I’m good”, and I made it through with less difficulty than I thought. When I was tired I went to bed and all was well. My biggest concern is that the group would feel like they couldn’t enjoy themselves with the sober killjoy around. It seemed like that at first, but once they understood that I’m actually cool and shit and serious about not drinking, everything just started working. Thanks for all the advice. Would have drunk if I did have you guys.
