Rainy day
It looks to be a nice sunny day there, no such luck here in the uk, we have had our one day of summer!
Very sunny and warm today. Iāll try to send some your way!
I know how that feels, Sweden is the same. +10 c rainy and windy. Unfortunately very much normal summer weather, itās things like this that makes me consider emigration to a warmer place. (if it wasnāt for all the scary insects)
After dog walk checking in before exercise routine.
Flagstaff AZ has the best weather. Nice warm sunny days and very cool nights. Very dry. Unfortunately no rain. Iād love a British summer.
Perfect weather gets pretty pretty boring.
Thank you yes it was awesome, and even though she had a few drinks I was able to stay sober š
It was the first time ever we did a girlās weekend and we loved it so much we will now do it twice a year.
I think the key word here is āaā lol, the rubbish weather also gets a bit old after a while and gets in the way of some of the outside work that needs doing. As long as its bot raining cats and dogs I donāt mind it.
Thatās so aweosme!! Congrats on staying sober!
Itās so dry and sunny here Iād love some clouds. We are so dry now itās fire season. I never knew fire was a season. I always loved English weather. Maybe because I donāt/canāt have it. And when I lived over there or visited I knew it wasnāt permanent.
I asked my English friend about the weather once. His answer was āwhat do you think?)
Never asked him again.
Too bad we canāt have a happy medium.
A happy medium would be nice! Whereabouts in England did you live, Iām sure you have probably said somewhere but I canāt remember.
South Croydon. Surrey.
Still have a great friend in East Croydon.
Itās been 40 years . Use to work at the Savoy. I was known as āThat Americanā. I Always got in trouble. I wasnāt snooty enough to work in a place like that but I always worked my ass off. Maybe the best time of my life.
I try to visit every few years.
Where you at?
I believe the word they used for me was uncouth
The true heart- Manchester. Sod the snooty gets they arenāt a true representation of Brits as Iām sure your aware. Wow so that was back around 1980,thatās the year I was born so canāt remember too much of what things were like back then.
Uncouth haha, well if you were uncouth they were posh twits people like that just think that theyāre better than everybody else!
No worries. I was having the time of my life!!
Never been to Manchester.
Spent a couple of weeks up near where the Derby football team plays. Back in 2002ish?. At least I know how to pronounce Derby canāt remember the name of the towns.
It was a soccer, Excuse me, football thing. Being from America we were all Man U fans. We all thought Manchester was the Holy Grail. But the game we saw was in Derby. And we were sitting with the home team Rammies. They told us we couldnāt yell for Man U or we might get booted out. They werenāt kidding. We saw a streaker and it was actually a really close game. And they tossed some Man U fans behind us because they were yelling for Man U. With cold damp wet weather of course. That cup of Bovril was the best thing in the world to warm ya up. I bought some Bovril to bring home. Customs wouldnāt let me bring it in cuz of the Mad Cow thing back then. No body at customs knew what it was.
Thanks for letting me reminisce.
It was called Lea Green in Matlock.
Oh matlock is only a 35 minute drive from me.
Yeah you definitely canāt show support for the opposing team, that would have got you severely hurt some years ago! Itās a shame that you couldnāt watch a United game at old Trafford, now that is an experience.
Iāll send ya some
I feel ya, Menno! Probably so does @Jante76! I had a small crash at the end of April, not much road rash but I bunged up my shoulder, basically bruised my rotator cuff. Itās still on the mend!
