Lol yes i was washing my truck with them on and almost went down because my foot slipped out of one
Unfortunately I am well versed in leaving my skin on the pavement. Itās always been sober too. Never fun.
Still up my eyeballs wonāt shut! So does it really rain everyday? And all year or just certain seasons? You have seasons right? Iām probably sounding like a fool and could and should just google it. yep gonna do that now. Iāll report back my findings!
Yeas, and if you wear them on a floor like in the store they behave more like Ice skates than shoes.
?? Nope?? You mean at the Savoy? I was there in 78 and 78.
Wore the same pair for years, hit a puddle on new floor in garage, went down like a cartoon character, exploded my shoulder. Surgery, 7 incisions, torn bicept and completely torn rotator cuff. April 20th. Today is August 6th. Still canāt lift my arm. All because of crocs and an inept floor guy. Now I wear sketchersā¦
Beware of crocs ā¦especially around waterā¦
Ouch, get well soon.
That was kind of my point, crocs are nice, easy and comfy. But it gets really dangerous when they get wet.
Not sure if the Swedish old fashioned wooden clogs are any better, I canāt even count the times Iāve hurt ny foot in those.
Yes, at the Savoy. He worked there in the late 70s/early 80s. The pay wasnāt great but he was never short of the best booze and grub.
Youād have definitely remembered him if youād worked together.
You were certainly in the right city for music at that time!
Itās soo hot. I have to cycle 16km to work in a bit. Gonna leave 1,5 hours early to not arrive extremely sweaty. Would make a bad impression as retail worker otherwise
Nope donāt recall a person named Robin. I worked in the Grill Room. Bartender starting late summer of 78. Then summer of 79 til November 79 I was put in the American Bar. It was so long ago but it was the greatest time of my life and I remember a lot of the names. Mostly foreigners as as my English mate would say. Being a bartender back then the cooks took care of us . Had a little side thing going for a drink you could get some fantastic food. Where did he work? Big hotel.
Thereās a question - Long time ago as you say, and sadly Robin died of booze and cigarettes years ago so I wonāt be able to confirm that until my numberās up!
Awesome, weāve got a heatwave too. I couldnāt be happier
