The episode of All in the Family, when Gloria had her baby, had a scene with Archie and Mike sharing a bed and then getting woken up to head off to the hospital with Gloria. And they had to have a debate, so it was sock-sock-shoe-shoe vs. sock-shoe-sock-shoe. I think Mike won with his sock-shoe-sock-shoe logic - that if the fire department came, and he got caught halfway, he could hop around in his shoe and keep his unsocked foot dry.

Yep. Exactly! And Iâm Polish, so I do it that way. Probably because of that one single episode. Otherwise never thought about it before. They donât make em like that anymore. Cutting edge.

I usually put my socks on long before I put on my shoes, so the second way. Unless Iâm barefoot outside for some reason. Then it has to be the first way bc I donât want no dirt on my socks
