7 mile run/jog/walk for my 7 month milestone the other day

My body has been telling me for days it needs a break and today’s struggle run proved it. Today’s run was much like sobriety each step whether it was in a run, jog, or slow walk was one step closer to my goal. I made it and now I’ll let my body rest from running for a few days to thank it for making it today and each day since 7 months and 2 days ago.

I did that to myself.i was afraid not to run or workout because I didn’t know what to do with my free time. Good for recognizing your body needed the break and good for listening. Have a good day off

I am slightly afraid but by taking out running I still have my 3 days of weight training and 2 days of Pt. I think I’ve just been pushing to the limit. I’ll let myself sleep in for the next few days because I generally wake up super early to run.
I’m glad you are doing well and overcame your time of struggle

How’d you like that old ankle snap? Seems to be a common theme these days one every couple years

Major credit to you for running in this.

I just did my first run since the move, my usual 5 miles (this route came out a bit longer at 5.6mi). Good lord it’s a different animal here. Not even the heat so much (although it started to wear on me around mile 4), but just breathing is more difficult. Likely just an adjustment period for the lungs and body to a different climate, but boy was that a tough run.

Yes! I had that problem after I moved to NM and that was just from Texas. The dry heat just takes your breathe away. Honestly the earlier the better. I try to leave the house no later than 5:15am. I have found my breathing is getting easier. The adjustment period is hard.
But high five on that run!

Yes, usually happens from kicks, then it goes dead and they roll it. Sort of sucks it ended that way, but Poirier was taking it to him

Yeah I always run in the morning, but back home I could get away with going after taking Chief for his run (so I’d be running at 7, sometimes 8 like today). That won’t fly here, lol. I think on my running day each week he’ll have to go without his! But he gets to run 6 other days a week so no problem for him.

Yeah man definitely he had that round for sure, Conor landed a couple savage upkicks and elbows on his back but definitely was getting worked
