Day 1000

I donā€™t know what happened 1000 days ago that made me come to my senses, and I probably never will. And thatā€™s fine. Today I am simply grateful to have left that part of my life behind.

Honestly, back then, Iā€™d have happily fallen asleep and never woken up. I was sick of breathing. It was that bad.

Nothing deep and profound from me here, just happy that I no longer hate myself and that I now look forward to tomorrow rather than curse it.

I wouldnā€™t have been able to do it without TS and all of the wonderful people here. Thank you.

Sometimes there is a line in the sand that we decide to not cross, and sometimes we act our way into correct thinking. How do we stay sober? By not picking up the first drink. We donā€™t have to have a conversion experience, or a DUI (or 5) nor a lost job or failed marriage. What we have all done is to wake up each day, decide to not drink and put that decision into action. Every day.

And the days stack up and each day we decide anew. Blessings on your house :pray:, brother!
