I served with one overriding quote in my mind, my grandfather said it after WW2 when he received a medal and citation from Charles De Gaulle ……I am not a hero, though I served with many, the real hero’s are the ones who paid the ultimate price and did not return home!

It is I had to go back and look. If I ever get off the beanie kick, I need me some billabong swag
I did the same thing. First injury was on second tour. Was given opiates like skittles along with ambien. No refill wait time on the opiates somehow. I didn’t enjoy the constipation I won’t lie so it’s the only thing that deterred me because I would of been on that path as well. My DOC Is alcohol and did wonders for the pain and social anxieties. Stay strong and we are always here, literally someone on this app every second of every day.

Instead of sitting in my self pitty I jogged. But I hate selfies now, I’m sober but I feel I don’t look sober, I’m not reaping those benefits like I did the first time. I feel ugly I hate going in public, but hopefully with the exercise and work on the inside I’ll start feeling better again
