That happens. It’s perception. I have noticed it too. I think that as we age, we realize that the road in front of us is shorter than the road behind us, and yet we want to do so much more in the time we have left. This creates a sense of urgency which makes it seem like the days are just flying by. I think its especially true for those in recovery. We feel the added need to make up for lost time. We’ve got even more good living to do in the same amount of time.
I think the band Pink Floyd captured this feeling way back in 73
