11 months sober from alcohol! Friday was the actual day but life’s been busy! I celebrated my 32nd birthday on march 11th and was my first sober birthday in 15+ years from alcohol or any mind altering substances of any kind! This new journey in life has really tested me in everyway possible it seems but cant help but be grateful for ive done it all with a crystal clear mind knowing that i was present and made my choices without a doubt in my mind! Life can knock me back a few steps but i learn from it and gain a few more back! This milestone has hit hard im one month from a full year without a drop of something i said id never give up! Something legal and readily available around every corner stole so much of my time and life sitting at a bar or stuck at home cause i wasnt even able to function to go anywhere or no one wanted to take my drunk ass anywhere. So many wasted days that im trying to gain back. Still trying to figure out my passion and purpose but thatll come with time in this new life ive made for myself! Thanks to you all for fighting this with me! We’re not alone in this! With numbers we can rise up and take on anything! Stay disciplined and as always one day at a time!!!

Got my hair chopped yesterday. I love it more than i thought i would… i think it was therapeutic in a way. Like all of that regrowth was the alcohol from years ago and its officially gone. It feels… cleansing? Anyway. Feeling like a new woman!!
Some believe that hair can hold the energy surrounding us and what we feel and release from within. So cutting off all that negative energy can be really therapeutic, empowering and as you say, cleansing.
