A year ago today I had a major neurosurgery, shortening and fusing my spine. The first 3 months after, in particular, were quite tough. I live for physical activity and have a fierce independent streak. I couldn’t tie my shoes or walk a quarter mile at first.
Had my 1-year postsurgical f/u on Monday. Dr says I’m recovering as well as one could hope for and my commitment to my health has made all the difference.
A year later, I am stronger than I have ever been and have recently purchased a home here in the desert. Nearly 5 yrs off the sauce
