I’ve been lurking on this thread a long time, it’s time I finally showed my face

We’re just heading out to a charity dinner this evening, which has been a boozy affair in the past. But tonight I feel relaxed and confident in my sobriety.
The kids are sleeping out tonight so I can have a hangover-free sleep-in tomorrow morning, honestly, I can’t wait !!

Been awhile since I’ve posted! Today I ran my first 5k! Outdoor running is a whole other beast compared to the treadmill! I ran it in 46 minutes and proud I finished! I’m more of a weight lifter so it felt good to get the legs pumping and lungs expanding like that! Welcome to all the new faces I see on here!!! This app has definitely helped me stay accountable and stay on the sober path! This is day 573 sober from alcohol and life everyday has only been better then the last!
Stay disciplined and as always one day at a time!

Congrats on your 5k that’s awesome. I run them in about the same time too. I’m by no means fast, but I’m determined… I’m built more for moving things back and forth.. Good seeing you checking in
