It was about 67F when I started and getting close to 80F when I finished. Not terrible at all. I fall apart when it’s above 90F A lot of the trail was shaded by the forest so that was really helpful too

@Dirk if it were urgent to get back i wouldnt mind a train….but this time i just booked the next available flight back & we have an extra surprise day with Granny 
i once took the Amtrak 23 hours from Illinois to New Mexico, it was incredible!! i love the trains in America. have you taken a long trip?
@JazzyS thank u girl!! we stay in NY but this weekend we were in Chicago visiting my son’s dad’s side of the family. all in all it’s been a good trip so i don’t mind staying another day

Trust me it was slow going for me at some points 
At one point I was like hell I’m just hiking with a few sprinkles of running in there 
The whole reason I signed up was for the challenge though and I truly enjoyed it
