Thank you. I could definitely still
Pick apart and point out a ton of things I see as flaws but I’m trying really hard to accept me for me these days . I started drinking and drugs at a very young age so getting sober has been like waking up one morning and feeling old. It’s been a hard pill to swallow.

Completely understand! Binge drank from 18 to 45 years old, perimenopause kicked my ass and I finally stopped right before my 46th birthday. I felt so old. But that’s okay, I’m working out regularly, eating right, finally losing some weight, sleeping better, etc. I don’t feel as old now after almost 5 months, LOL! You look wonderful and I’m proud of you!

Looking great Tisha. Remarkable way to start off your Sunday. I love the real you. :revolving_hearts:

I do know the shock of seeing yourself through sober eyes. I started drinking in my pre teens and just quit shortly after turning 45. It’s just a number. Your body and skin start to heal in sobriety.

Welcome to the Comma Club, Zeke!

Thank you and yes I already see differences. For one my face looks less bloated than even the selfie a shared 7 days ago . And I never shared here but a pic I took from day 1 my skin almost has a greyish like colour. There is no doubt I’m a lot healthier than 24 days ago.

5 years sober today. Although I haven’t been on here in nearly 3 years this app was a huge part of my early sobriety when I felt like I had nowhere else to turn so thank you to everyone! Celebrating with an early gym session, work around the house and watching my Philadelphia Eagles hopefully beat the Rams!!
