The UK (where I lived prior to the US) primarily uses cameras to reinforce speed, jumping red lights, being stopped in boxed junctions, illegal turns etc. You do get parking tickets but the ticketing officers aren’t police and not nearly as imposing as US officers!
In the Netherlands, I was only ever stopped for speeding once, on a quiet Sunday morning, and the motor police officer let me off the hook after I told a sob story about sick parents even though I was doing 100 mph where only 75 is allowed :see_no_evil:

Ah, I see. Well, I don’t drive like a maniac :upside_down_face: Patrol cars can scan your license plates and see your legal records. The 1st time my registration was expired by 10 days. I honestly didn’t even know and he let me go. 2nd time my inspection was overdue bc I couldn’t afford new tires to pass. I was really playing the lottery for 8 months

Thanks so much. Every day I’m learning how to be OK with being happy and healthy. I definitely feel I am reinventing myself. One day at a time. Thanks for the encouraging words!! :sunglasses:

I took this photo yesterday after I got a 5km running personal best that resulted in tears, almost throwing up and a near asthma attack (it wasn’t even that fast either hahah).
Clearly having a wonderful time with my running :joy: 936 days :running_woman:

I have to talk myself through some runs, and a frequent topic is “Don’t leave anything out here” - I have to push myself to give full effort. That’s what I signed up for (metaphorically, of course), to give full effort.

Good for you for pushing hard - that’s where the money is!

Very funny. I know now why I suffer with dishes. I have big feet. Size 10 (American) . There is a saying barefoot, pregnant and in the kitchen is where the woman should be. I am ok with that except for the pregnant part. Pregnancy train left a long time ago without me! :innocent:

Thanks girl! And thank you to everyone else!

Yes, my kids are extremely excited! I’m going to be having a little boy. Not set on a first name yet but going to have it’s middle name be Jacob. In honor of my little brother who passed away September 5th :broken_heart:

We’ve been no stranger to grief these past two years. It’ll be nice to hold life in our hands for once.

Lil homie is already stressed out. I feel it buddy :joy:
