It is. However, I have been banned from making it myself. For you see, once made a batch and capped it a bit too tight. There was a minor (ok, major) kimchee explosion in the fridge. Took several hours to clean. Now I have a separate cube fridge out in my workshop, where I store the stuff I buy, which is past the explosive stage.
