Brady update: He got his flu shot at Target without any drama at all. No fussing, crying, screaming… NO MELTDOWNS! He rocked it… Then my mom and I decided since we were on a roll… why not get a haircut (which used to also be an issue). Luckily hair cuttery squeezed him right in! He earned himself the Mario lego starter set he’s been wanting so bad. So proud of my Buddy… Best day ever! I truly feel like my sobriety and clear head has helped us so much with preparing for these difficult situations. Proud of him. But proud of me toooooo!

267…do I look diffrent???

Well I should! My “step” son (my ex’s son who I’m still close with my son’s half brother) and his fiance had a baby. 6 weeks early. I’m a gigi!!! Baby is healthy and transitioning well in the NICU. Came out sunnyside up, screaming and pink!

Lashing rain overnight/early this morning. Quick break in the downpours means popping out for Chief’s morning muckabout. He gets all bent out of shape when we can’t go. Loves his routine, just like his Dad.

Love these chilly overcast autumn days. The red and orange trees against the gray skies, just beautiful. One of the few times of year I love living here. If I ever move from this little corner of the country, as I hope to, I’ll really miss October. I consider the final third of the month (Oct 20-31) to be the perfect time of year around here.

Love this time of year too; the colours are outstanding here…cool fresh air that smells of maple leaves. Although they’re all falling off now, and that makes me a bit sad. Great hat, by the way :grinning:

Thanks!

Yeah I saw on the news yesterday that peak leaf season is pretty much come and gone (and was VERY short) up north (Maine + Eastern Canada) due to how little rain we had around here this year. Not sure about you but we’ve been drought status for at least a month or two, probably longer.
