We had a great night out. Thanks.
Congratulations on day 777. I havenāt seen you for awhile. Maybe Iāve just missed you. Look at that influence you can have on people.
Looking great Emilie
Yep, you got it. Same Topshop Jeans again. And the new Sweater I bought for fall, with the matching lipstick. Currently I only tried it of for the picture, Iām not sure about wearing it outside yet. It shows a little bit to much in my opinion.
Cool guitars, and I also compliment your taste in horror movies. Of all horror villains, Michael Meyers is still the best. Why? Because he never runs after his victims. He walks. Iād bet heās thinking āYeahā¦run if youād like. You will only die tired.ā
Cute haircut!!!
Hello friend! I love seeing your smile and hearing you are back out in the worldā:heart_eyes:
As the saying goes āhunger is the best sauceā.
Funny how being deprived of what we once considered commonplace can make things special, once again.
Glad you enjoyed this.
40 months of getting better at getting better, one day at a time! Keep getting after it!
Thanks Yoda.
The acoustic gets the most playtime, since most of what I do is just playing/singing covers, and I donāt have to set up the amp etc. Just put it on and play.
The telecaster (right) is my āgoodā guitar. First time I went out and really splurged on one. Sheās a beauty and so versatile.
The one on the left is my weirdo. Itās Danelectro, who were more known for their guitars in the 60s. They got purchased sometime in the 90s and new ones started coming out, including this one, which I believe is from 2000. I found it tucked away in the basement at my friendsā house about 10 years ago, offered to sell it to me for $50 (needed some work, but really barely any) which I jumped all over. I love the shape, the acrylic coat actually has silver glitter specs in it which you canāt see in the photo. Super tacky and I love it. It also has 4 effects BUILT IN to the guitar, which is pretty wild. Overall it has itās limits, but I love using it. Biggest drawback is that itās HEAVY. Probably the heaviest guitar Iāve ever come across, so itās good for a few songs before it starts to really dig into the shoulder.
As far as Michael Meyers is concerned ā I agree! Jason Vorhees has the same kinda feel ā the slow, ālooming figureā thing going onā¦but Jason also regularly shows that heās not terribly bright. Michael was evil incarnate.
Speaking of MM ā
Iām a huge fan of that āsurf soundā from that era. Dick Dale, the Ventures, the Tornadosā¦
It wouldnāt surprise me if they, or similar artists, used Danelectro at one point or another. Their guitars are very much that style, especially from an aesthetic perspective and the tone is well-suited for that genre. If you google image Danelectro, thereās tons in that 1950s/1960s mid-century style. Theyāre really cool guitars, certainly unique. They even had an electric guitar/sitar combo that they were producing at one point.
To you both, Iām an absolutely HUGE horror film fan (my brother use to film home made horror movies with a 8 mm camera back in the 70ās and 80ās mostly, then āgraduatedā to Super 8 in the 90ās, was in some and helped out a ton and he collected Fangoria magazines, Dawn of the Dead being a huge stapleā¦ I saw it in the theatre when I was 4ā¦) and I wholeheartedly agree Michael Myers is by far and hands down the BEST horror villain out there.
