The only issue with sushi is that there is never enough.

I may or may not order the sushi boat “for 2” everytime I go to the place here …for just myself

Never forget my first Starbucks experience. I was on a stop over at LAX, after 3 years in the Far East. Wanted a cup of coffee, and was a bit jet lagged and grumpy. Barrista asks me what I want. I look at the menu and see cappuccino (which I thought was a type of monkey), latte, and a whole bunch of other things. And the sizes are in some weird language.

I say “Coffee, black. Large”. She says “what flavor?”

I look up and see all these different varieties and flavors. Haven’t a clue, as for Marines the variety is “instant or brewed” “good or bad”.

I say “I want coffee, the kind Jaun Valdez grew, picked, and hauled over the mountain on a donkey, roasted, ground, and water filtered through. Black. Coffee flavored. Biggest size you got.”

Right. Sushi Boat for 2 costs somewhere around $60, so I need to be feeling a bit ritzy before I go for it. It’s good quality, so it’s worth the occasional splurge.

Same. Wasn’t used to “the 'tude”, especially when trying to order a simple cup of coffee. Wasn’t till a couple years later that the first “Fivebucks Coffee” popped up in my East Coast area.

And being a Boston Boy, my heart belongs to Dunkin’ Donuts coffee. So simple. I say “coffee. Large. Black” and that’s exactly what I get…and then donuts. Fivebucks doesn’t have donuts.

Live near a Wegmans? They have awesome sushi, made fresh, half the price of a restaurant.
And you can eat it right there.

I’d trust it more than a restaurant. Health inspector reports in our local paper, lots of restaurants with low grades. Corporate chain supermarkets get high marks. Better QC I think.

So over it. 2 root canals in a 3 day span. Then this morning I had a root canal and my wsidom tooth extracted back to back. It’s been a rough 2.5 weeks but hey, I’m sober and loving it!!
