Grew up just south of Boston, outskirts of the city. Now I live deep in the south shore, near the cape.
Right outside Boston. I miss the food. Not that I can’t get good food here in Nothern VA, but back in MA, it was just better. Little Spa and sub shops. Pizza, actual bakeries, seafood and Italian places were everywhere. The city I live in today is turning into a destination for foodies, but it wasn’t always like that. And Spumoni ice cream… got to go all the way to DC to get some. Back in MA, you could buy it at the grocery, or at any Italian restaurant.

I went to Simmons college. Spent my weekends in the north end and in Revere. My girlfriend at the times family owned mikes pastry so I got all the good pastries!

My fifth son goes to BU (full scholarship). I can hear occasional hints of an accent on some of his words now.
