Another semester on honor roll…holding that 3.85 GPA :muscle:t3: one more year & im an RDN. so much easier to do school work and attend classes when you aren’t always drunk. On our way to dinner to celebrate. Second chances rock

I felt this immensely and immediately. That one year mark changed almost everything about my life. My focus became a lot more about living life than being sober. Just remember to stay vigilant. I feel like a lot of people relapse because they change priorities and almost forget about recovery. That scares the shit out of me, so I remain vigilant but live much more free.

Such a coincidence you mention this. Just this morning I was headed home from the gym before work, and I was spending the 20 min drive thinking about where I’m at, where I’m headed.

I realized that I don’t really have anything tangible I’m working towards, no concrete goals, now that over a year sober is under my belt and its maintainence at this point. This results in me feeling very directionless and somewhat unfulfilled.
I have parts of my personality etc i’d like to work on that i’ve mentioned before (be more outgoing, stop speeding, just add a bit of spice to my life), but its not the same as having a set, specific thing i’m working towards. I hunger for that sort of thing. Today I start looking for it!

@Lionfish @TMAC Sober has become part of who you are, like your eye color or fingerprints. Time to set those immediate, intermediate, and long-term goals, prioritize and execute. It’s an exciting place, and can be somewhat uncomfortable, and yet, all growth happens outside of one’s comfort zone.

Knock’em dead kids.

Ugh, I struggle with intangible goals. A good friend recently pointed out, “Even seemingly intangible goals have tangible means. What will get you there?”

Being more outgoing has been one of mine, too. For that I try to plan something social at least once a week.

You certainly deserve some days off! If you’re in the Burlington area and want to check out a meeting, message me!

Turn on the sprinker, and make the rainbow.

Don’t put off for tomorrow what you could do today.

LOL!!! Yes…the owner before was an 18 year old boy who loved video games so the entire interior of the car looks like that. It’s quite cool. That plus the exhaust he put on it was sure to get him all the ladies!

That’s far out lol. “Exhaust” or exhaust? No one likes at fart can on a honda :joy::rofl::rofl:

Oh it’s a Sentra spec v sport…:joy::joy: so even better! It’s good for a daily driver and quite quick…gotta give the evo a break during the week lol!

Ah always liked their practical appearance. 6 speed with a 2.5l, they can be fun little zippy cars. Never much for the EVO though lol as I’m more of a Subaru fanboi

And job well done on the schoolin, keep plugging away!

Much respect, I had two bug eyed Wrx’s when I was younger but I wanted to do a turbo swap and build my engines from the ground up so Mitsubishi became the more practical route :hugs: still love Subaru’s though, will race an sti anyday!
