Got a plan mate? Good to see you post for the first time.

I see youve joined this approx 2 years ago.

I spent years wanting to be sober. Wishing and wanting never got me very far though… actively working for my sobriety and putting in the hardwork is what worked. Sobriety podcasts. Trying out AA. reading quit lit. But mostly being here.

This place is a powerful tool in its own right. The collective wisdom of others would amount to centuries of sobriety. Check in. Read around. Engage with the community. Its made a huge difference and is the core reason for my sobriety. I couldn’t reccomend it enough.

Stay off social media and doom scrolling and spend alot of time here.

This is one of the things I love about this community there is always someone like @Jaybeeem online if you need them. And it will always be a positive message you get back.

Have a great sober day :light_blue_heart::oncoming_fist:

Hey @Dazzler hope you are doing well. When I first attempted to get sober my MH was all over the place. Between the withdrawals and learning how to live without substances I had issues with anxiety, sleep, and depression. Early in sobriety I used the therapy/medication route to balance out. The meds allowed me enough stability to work on my underlying mental health issues in therapy. For the sobriety part, I used AA (and sober living) to get, and stay, sober.

Stick around and read some posts. There’s a lot of long-term sobriety here.

@Dazzler how you doing?! I see this post was a few days ago, hope you’re doing alright. I know the first few days can be tough as I have been through them before and am currently on day 2 of my recovery from relapse.

This place is a hell of a tool. It’s an entire community fighting the same battle against addiction in your pocket whenever you need it! I mean I was gone for 2 years and I logged back in and found so much love and people looking for me which I was overwhelmed by. If you’re posting this, it means you know there’s a problem and you want to address it, much love we are all here for you
