I didn’t decide to smoke cigarettes. They were just there, my dad smoked, it looked cool, and I wanted to fit in with my friends. It was the same thing with weed, the late 60s, and I felt my only option was to embrace the music and culture I grew up in. I took my first drink for the same reason. My family used to let me have a sip of their beer when I was a child, and I liked the taste of it. We learn these addictive behaviors. Our natural state is a calm, clear mind and a loving heart. That’s what we’re doing here: returning to a natural way of living and getting know our true selves.
