Sobriety, yoga, meditation, and 11th step

I Just want to share my joy.

Yesterday, as usual, I began my day with morning yoga. And suddenly I said to myself: I need to try to sit in the padmasana (lotus pose) I think I can! For a half a year I’ve been stretching my legs for it. And I’ve done it! I tried to meditate in this one. I used to meditate in the easier pose (siddhasana). After few minutes of meditation in lotus, my inner state became fucking awesome!!! It was sudden and joyful.

Personally, for me it’s a sign, I got on next stage of my spiritual path. Body, soul, and mind are mutually connected, as I started to percept.

It,s approximately a couple of months and two years of my sobriety.

I’m going onward doing my 11th step. ;))

BTW, I discovered in most spiritual teachings and 12 step program there are so many related things.

The same basis in fact.

Have a nice day, my friends!

Have a good journey!

That is great, congratulations! There is such a shift when you are at peace.

I am trying a new Yin class later today…my regular Yin class the instructor has gone back to school…so I am hoping the new studio and instructor are a good fit. I prefer the slow contemplative holding poses of Yin.
