Socializing sober is my new superpower

I just feel so powerful. Like maybe it’s my control issues, but I feel like everything and everyone is in the palm of my hand. It’s a bit of a rush realizing that I’m such a potent force when I’m sober. I’m quick, I’m charming, I verbally spar, I give good advice, I’m quick to laugh and make other people laugh, no one can disarm me, I’m so secure in myself and I had no idea that I am naturally flirtatious. I just had to let you all know the good word. Good night!

Yes, the good is in not drinking. The personality is enhanced in sobriety and not diminished like so many fear prior to sobriety.
For many it’s a fear that’s never realized,
( people are not cuter, smarter, more alluring and more ‘themselves’ when they’re drinking)
Congratulations to you @liminal.rehab for flourishing with your sobriety! :hugs:

Haha yasss :fire::fire::fire:

Something I have also learned, as part of socialising on my own terms, is when to LEAVE. Calling it a day cos I’m tired, not feeling it or got something to do the next day. As well as only really going to the things I want to.

We get to choose!
