maybe someone more experienced could help me through this journey this time and answer some of the many questions I have!
This app doesn’t really have ‘sponsorship’ in the way AA has. If you ask any questions, many different people will jump in to answer or give support, and through that you might make friends that you connect with regularly and individually via pm.
I recommend you search aa in my city and resources will pop up. You can find a sponsor in the rooms of aa, na, ca. Pick someone whos shares resonate with you and work the steps.
We are an awesome supportive community but search local for a sponsor. Im happy to answer any questions you may have about sponsorship if youd like.
Best go to a face to face meeting wish you well
Go to meetings and listen for someone who has what you want. When you find that person ask them.
It took me about a month to ask my sponsor. I listened to his shares 3 times a week for a month before I asked. I live in Canada and he lives in Florida. We met in January in person when I was on vacation. He’s helped me a lot because it’s a mentor/mentor relationship, not friendship.
Keep your ears open and it will happen.
