Starting out and needing help

I just restarted the app. It’s not the first time. I’m so tired of this cycle :frowning:

Welcome back Pam.

To stay clean, we must find the willingness to change our old ways of thinking. What has worked for other addicts can work for us but we must be willing to try it. We must trade in our old cynical doubts for new affirmations of hope. When we do, we’ll find it’s worth the risk.

Have a good read around. Join in when you’re comfortable.

Yes, true. I must admit that I was powerless over alcohol — that my life had become unmanageable. (AA Step 1)

@Pams Welcome to the community Pam

there are virtual and face-to-face recovery meetings you can attend for people just like you

would you like me to post the links for the meeting finders?

we can do this together - don’t lose hope. each time you fail you take a step toward success. if you don’t do it this time make the committment now not to give up and to keep trying. we’ll get there eventually.

lighten up my friend, you’re among other people just like you on this website and we’ve all been there i relapsed many times before i got clean for the last time almost 7 years ago. the recovery meetings and program is what is making the difference for me even today. that’s why im here helping others and why other people with extended periods of clean time are here because it’s part of our recovery program is to be of service to others.

care to join us?
